Tempe Town Lake – December 29, 2013
I worked an overtime shift Sunday night that ended about 11:30pm or so. I drive home past Tempe Town Lake, and the water appearead to be as smooth as glass. I got off the freeway, and got the tripod and camera gear out. All images are taken with 5 to 30 second exposures. All images with the Canon 5D Mark II, EF 24-105 F4 IS L lens. Happy Birthday Sis!! Tempe Town Lake. Late night shot taken after working an overtime shift that ended at 11:00pm. Tripod mounted, 5 second exposure. Taken with the Canon 5D Mark II, EF 70-200 F2.8 IS L glass, at 70mm, F5.6, and ISO 200. There was a slight breeze, and the wind coming off the water really made it to cold. (For Arizona).
911 remembered – September 12, 2013
This image was uploaded full sized. You can see the detail in the image if you click on it. This is across Tempe Town Lake, looking at their 911 memorial. A flag for every life that was lost.
Tempe has put this memorial together for several years now. It makes you think about each of the American lives that were lost in a single day, as you walk through the thousands of flags. Pattison is not a common name. Walking through the flags, I realised they were put up in alphabetical order, and I was approaching the P’s……

Tempe Town Lake – February 21, 2013
Tempe Town Lake, is a man made lake using the river bottom. There are rubber inflatable bladders that form the dams on both ends. Its a nice lake close to ASU’s main campus. Josiah and I walked around taking pictures. This image was shot one year ago today. It was hot. This one was treated to HDR processing, and the contrast and saturation were boosted to make the image “pop”. Canon 30D, EF 17-40mm L lens at 17mm, ISO-100, F8, 1/200 sec.
